Chairman & Founder
In 1972, my father established a humble packaging industry in Hubli, Karnataka. He was a firm believer in the customer-first philosophy. This philosophy continues to be the underpinning of everything that we do to date. In 2003, I applied all the learning and experience I picked up from my father and set up GWP, scaling our reach across Karnataka. Under the leadership of my wife Luty Fernandes in the early 2000s, we expanded to further locations and built a strong team that provided solutions for packaging problems. My sons Albert, Aaron and Ansel soon joined the family-run business. With their dynamic energy and youthful insights, the organization grew further.
Today, our vision is to ensure that we move from being just another business to being socially and environmentally conscious. Packaging industries depend a lot on wood. Most of the wood we use is thrown away. We designed management solutions to convert wood and Agri-waste into eco-friendly products like briquettes and sturdy pallets for shipments. Our aim now is to go completely digital by 2025, thereby automating the future of packaging in India. This, I am sure, will be possible, for as they say, 'Where there is a will, there is a way'.
